SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Autodesk, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADSK), the world's leading design software and digital content company, announced today that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.03 per share on its Common Stock. The dividend is payable October 8, 2004 to shareholders of record at the close of business on September 24, 2004.

As of July 31, 2004, the Company had $571.2 million in cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities and approximately 114.2 million shares of common stock outstanding. Autodesk reported net income of $39.2 million, or $0.31 per diluted share on a GAAP basis, on net revenues of $279.6 million for the second fiscal quarter ended July 31, 2004.
