SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Autodesk, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADSK) announced today that it has been named to the list of "100 Best Corporate Citizens" in the United States for 2007, compiled annually by CRO magazine.

"It's an honor for Autodesk to be recognized for outstanding ethical conduct in all aspects of our business, and for our commitments to the greater community," said Carl Bass, president and CEO, Autodesk. "Beyond principles and policies, Autodesk puts its standards into action, from our shareholder-friendly practices, to our education initiatives, to our partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council to help advance sustainable building practices. We are proud of what we do -- and what we help others do -- to be a good corporate citizen and contribute to economically and socially sustainable business and innovation."

The 2007 list of "100 Best Corporate Citizens" appeared in the January-February issue of CRO magazine. All 10 of the highest-ranked companies on the list are also Autodesk customers. Now in its eighth year, the list draws from more than 1,100 of the largest U.S. publicly traded companies to identify those that excel at serving a variety of stakeholders. The "100 Best Corporate Citizens" list was developed by Business Ethics magazine, which was incorporated last year into The CRO (www.thecro.com), a premier membership organization for corporate responsibility officers.

"Like its peers on the list, Autodesk stands apart from other large, publicly traded companies as a result of its strong financial performance and responsible practices related to a variety of issues," said Michael Connor, publisher and editor of CRO magazine. "Answerable to higher standards than most, this elite group is to be commended for its leadership in corporate responsibility."

The 100 Best Corporate Citizens list puts a numerical rating on companies' service to various stakeholders, using data from Socrates, the online social research database created by KLD Research & Analytics in Boston, an independent research firm serving investment management professionals. Firms are ranked on service in eight stakeholder categories: shareholders, community, governance, diversity, employees, environment, human rights and product. Social scores use KLD's assessment of "strengths" and "concerns" demonstrated in each category. The shareholder score is based on three-year average total return (stock appreciation plus dividends) through year-end 2006.
