DWF Composer Receives Codie Award for Best CAD/CAM/CAE/Electronic Design Automation Product

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., June 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Autodesk, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADSK) today announced that Autodesk DWF Composer has won the Codie Award for Best CAD/CAM/CAE/Electronic Design Automation Product, presented by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). Autodesk was singled out for achievement and vision in software amongst hundreds of nominees. DWF Composer took the prize as the best-of-the-best in design automation products against four other finalists at the annual presentation of the SIIA Codie Awards.

Autodesk DWF Composer helps users realize their ideas by accelerating the design review process. By using DWF Composer software, drafters, design professionals and project managers are able to distribute project plans electronically rather than by overnight courier or fax, saving both time and money. Project team members can use DWF Composer to digitally review, mark up, and revise 2D and 3D drawings, maps and models, and send changes back electronically, resulting in a faster, more accurate, and cost effective review process. Due to the tight integration between DWF Composer and many other Autodesk products, all changes are automatically tracked, closing the loop between the designer and the reviewer. Ken Wasch, president of SIIA, said, "SIIA congratulates Autodesk on their win in this new Codie Awards category with first-rate competition. This award recognizes the company's forward-thinking concepts in electronic design automation."

The SIIA is the principal trade association for the software and digital content industry.
