Magazine Readers Select New Autodesk Product as Industry's Best Electrical
                                 CAD Software

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Nov. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Autodesk, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADSK), the world's leading design software and digital content company, today announced that its new AutoCAD(R) Electrical 2004 software won the Control Design 2003 Readers' Choice Award in the Electrical CAD Software category. AutoCAD Electrical 2004 was selected by readers of Control Design magazine based on their real-world use of the product. The magazine mailed ballots to all of its subscribers, who wrote in their choice. Because vendors and their products were not listed, a win in this situation is an even greater achievement. According to Control Design magazine, AutoCAD Electrical 2004 software received 62 percent of the votes, with the second place winner receiving only five percent. Other software products in the category each received less than five percent of the vote. AutoCAD Electrical 2004 is being showcased in the November 2003 issue of Control Design magazine (www.controldesign.com).
