Autodesk Announces Appointment of Steven Scheid to Board of Directors
SAN RAFAEL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 16, 2003--Autodesk, Inc. (Nasdaq:ADSK), the world's leading design software and digital content company, today announced that Steven Scheid has been appointed to Autodesk's Board of Directors.
Scheid joins Autodesk's board after a notable career in finance and investment services. Most recently, Scheid served as Vice Chairman of the Charles Schwab & Co., Inc and President of the Schwab Retail Group.

Prior to being named the president of Schwab's Retail Group, Scheid headed the Financial Products and Services Group and was the firm's chief financial officer from 1996 through 1999. Before his various positions at the Charles Schwab Corporation, Scheid was with First Interstate BanCorp and its affiliates. His responsibilities at First Interstate included executive vice president of finance and principal financial officer, as well as managing an affiliate's retail investment sales and human resources division.
In addition, Scheid served as the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco's representative on the Federal Advisory Council in Washington, D.C. Based upon his credentials in the financial industry, Scheid was recognized as one of the best CFOs by CFO Magazine in 2000.
Scheid earned a BS in Accounting at Michigan State University and is a CPA. He has completed executive management programs at the University of Wisconsin Prochnow School of Banking and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management.
