These studios created the visually stunning effects in the film, including the scenes where the Orcs are reviving the Balrog, as well as the brilliantly rendered tidal wave resembling a stampede of horses, using Discreet inferno visual effects software and compositing system. The talented artists honored last night demonstrated that they have what it takes to realistically create the entire fantasy world of Middle-earth -- true to J.R.R. Tolkien's vision.
