Autodesk Expands SketchBook Pro Color Palette with Copic Markers
SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Jul 19, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSK), will collaborate with Too Corporation, the makers of the popular Copic markers, to expand the color palette and sketching capabilities of the Autodesk SketchBook Pro app for Mac and Windows desktops. The company also announced the availability of Autodesk SketchBook Pro for Android.
For the first time, artists have electronic access to the complete set of Copic markers, as well as more than 300 Copic colors available exclusively in Autodesk SketchBook Pro. With the digital pencils, pens, markers and airbrushes, together with an artist-friendly user interface available on the Autodesk SketchBook Pro app, users can draw and sketch more vivid, high-quality digital artwork with a broad spectrum of colors. The addition of the Copic marker brushes and famed Copic Color System provides illustrators with the markers they trust inside the SketchBook Pro digital painting and drawing app.
"With more and more creative professionals beginning to draw digitally, it is important for us to offer our high-quality illustrating tools for both the physical and digital canvas," said Eiichi Ishii, Chairman at Too Corporation. "Teaming with Autodesk to bring Copic markers to the digital realm, and in a way that mirrors traditional materials, was a natural decision for us."
Autodesk Releases SketchBook Pro for Android
Optimized for tablets and other large-screened devices running Android Honeycomb, the SketchBook Pro for Android app enables users to take advantage of powerful sketching tools to create quick informal sketches or produce artwork on-the-go, all from the large screen of a tablet. Autodesk SketchBook Pro for Android is the latest Autodesk app to support the popular mobile operating system following Autodesk SketchBook Mobile, which has been available for the Android platform since November 2010, and the AutoCAD WS for Android app, which launched in April.
